Peterborough Green Party has issued the following statement:

“Peterborough Green Party is disappointed by the Labour leader’s announcement that he is no longer committed to the principle of free movement and by his decision to make this announcement from Peterborough.

People who have moved to Peterborough from other EU countries to work here contribute much that is positive to our local economy and our community.

We hope that Mr Corbyn’s remarks will not make them feel ostracised or unwelcome.“
